Statistical information casts doubts on the effectivness of current drug policy in Georgia
On the 17th of June, Meeting of the Inter-Factional Group and the Open Parliament Georgia Working Group was held. The meeting was conducted within the scopes of the project - "Supporting Parliament of Georgia Involvement in Open Government Partnership".
Public involvement is key to the openness, it’s one out of the five main priorities set to achieve the parliamentary openness. For this purpose IDFI held a survey between 29th of April to 19th of May. Respondents chose 3 most important recommendations out of 7, which arose as a result of research carried out in regard of Parliamentary Openness.
Forum discussed the participation of Georgia at the Open Government Reward Competition in 2015. The subject of the competition for the current year is development of state services that are considered as one of the main components of the transparency governed by OGP.
On June 12th, Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, hosted a meeting in order to support the parliamentary transparency, openness and citizen participation within the scopes of the project - “Supporting Parliament of Georgia Involvement in Open Government Partnership”.
IDFI monitored the situation on Georgian market, found out where citizens can buy set top boxes, how many of them are available in the shops and what are their prices.
Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Davit Usupashvili, along with the other representatives, addressed to the participants of the International conference.
The conference has opened on 3rd June, at Expo Georgia. Among the representatives of civil sector and international organizations, Director of IDFI and co-chair of the Open Government Forum in Georgia Giorgi Kldiashvili was invited to give a speech.

On June 3-4th 2015 Tbilisi. Georgia will host the European regional conference of “Open Government Partnership” (OGP). The European government representatives of the OGP will participate in Tbilisi conference.
