Efficiency of Logistics System and Georgia

According to the survey conducted by the World Bank (WB) in 2014, the level of efficiency of the Georgian Logistics System is rather low: Georgia is not even among 100 countries on the list and lags behind not only developed countries, but also post-soviet states such as - Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, Tajikistan.

IDFI Conducted the Training Course: Open Parliament - Voice of Youth

On November 15th and 22nd at the Tbilisi State University, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information conducted a training course "Open Parliament - Voice of Youth" within the scopes of the project "Supporting Involvement of Parliament of Georgia in the Open Government Partnership". The Project is funded in the framework of European Union and the Parliament of Georgia Program: “Strengthening the System of Parliamentary Democracy in Georgia Project Document” which is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Open Parliament Action Plan was Discussed at Samtredia Municipality

On November 18th, 2015, Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan 2015-2016 was discussed at the building of Samtredia Municipality. Member of Georgian Parliament - Giorgi Kakhiani and representatives of Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) - Davit Maisuradze and Davit Uchadze attended the meeting. Participants of the discussion included representatives of Samtredia Municipality, as well as individuals employed at the spheres of education, culture and healthcare, representatives of media and NGOs.

Director of IDFI Giorgi Kldiashvili Participated in the OGP Webinar

Webinar on the topic of "Reviewing 2015, Looking to 2016: Legislative Openness and OGP" was held on November 17th. The event was sponsored by the OGP Support Unit and World Bank Group. The goal of the webinar was to provide an opportunity to discuss the Working Group's work plan for 2016 and hear ideas on what activities should be prioritized.
