OGP released the video records of the GLOW Conference

On September 14-15, Meeting of the Open Government Partnership's Legislative Openness Working Group was held in the palace of the Parliament of Georgia in Tbilisi. In relation to this event, OGP has released the video records of the conference for those who were not able to attend the conference. Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) endorsed the OGP Joint Declaration on Open Government for the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

On 25th of September, 2015 on its 70th anniversary, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development titled as the “Transforming Our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”.

Open Government Partnership as the Tool for Implementing the United Nations 2030 Goals for Sustainable Development

On 25th of September, 2015 on its 70th anniversary, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This new agenda is an ambitious “agenda for people, to end poverty in all its forms – an agenda for the planet, our common home” said UN general secretary, Ban Ki-moon during his address at the opening of the Post-2015 Development Agenda Summit.

Open Parliament - Voice of Youth

The Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) is implementing the project - 'Supporting Involvement of the Parliament of Georgia in Open Government Partnership' with support of the UNDP and the EU. The project aims to increase transparency, openness and citizen engagement in the legislative processes. Within the project, IDFI is announcing a competition for the students, who are interested in the work of the Parliament.

Director of IDFI, Giorgi Kldiashvili attends Asia Pacific Regional Meeting

Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia Pacific Regional Meeting was held on 7-8 September, 2015 at ADB (Asian Development Bank) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The regional meeting brought together approximately 50 delegates from the governments, civil societies, international organizations and foundations with the goal of sharing progress on open government reforms and exchanging ideas on expanding OGP initiatives.

The Speaker of Georgian Parliament David Usupashvili at the Inter-Parliamentary Union's (IPU) Fourth World Conference

From August 31 to September 2 the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) hosted Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in New-York, US. The conference was attended by about 180 parliamentary leaders, including more than 35 Deputy Speakers from nearly 140 countries.
