Meeting was headed by the Chairman of IDFI, Levan Avalishvili. Representatives of Non-Governmental and International Organizations presented their recommendations, which should be considered during the working process on Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan.
On September 12th 2015 a new law on Transparency of the Use of Public Funds will enter into force in Ukraine. According to the new legislation recipients of funds from state and local budgets, state- and communal-owned enterprises and obligatory social insurance funds will be obliged to publicize detailed information on the use of public funds on quarterly basis.
On May 14th, Akaki Tsereteli State University hosted a meeting in order to support the parliamentary transparency, openness and citizen participation within the scopes of the project - “Supporting Parliament of Georgia Involvement in Open Government Partnership”.
On May 7-8, 2015 a conference “Central and Eastern European e-Democracy and e-Governance Days” was held in Budapest. Georgia was represented at the conference with two papers.

The Director of IDFI, Giorgi Kldiashvili participated in 48th annual meeting of Asian Development Bank (ABD) in Baku. The title this year was- “Fostering Partnership for development”.
With singing the Memorandum, Georgia became the first country in the region starting to implement the Principles of Open Parliament. The official ceremony of signing the Memorandum took place in the building of the Parliament in Kutaisi.
The research highlights the countries that have best practice and a few commitments regarding the Parliamentary Openness. It is notified that OGP member countries pay the major attention to the implementation of the innovative approaches towards the parliamentary openness
The Participants of the meeting discussed the issues of the involvement of the Parliament of Georgia in the Open Government Partnership Initiative (OGP) and the establishment of the Open Parliament Principle.
