The Georgian Parliament’s Permanent Council on Open and Transparent Governance adopted a Concept aimed at promoting the implementation of commitment 3.1. of the Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan. The commitment involves publishing documents on the Parliament website in easy-to-use formats.

Open Government Partnership (OGP) has published a list of winners for Subnational Government Pilot Program. Tbilisi Municipality City Hall is among 15 winners from 45 submitted applications.

Public consultations were held in Ozurgeti and Batumi in order to hear the ideas and initiatives of local communities for the Open Government Partnership Action Plan 2016-2017. Representatives of local governments, non-governmental organizations, media and students participated in the consultations. They learned the mission of the Open Government Partnership, heard the initiatives of the governmental entities that will be included in the Action Plan and presented their ideas.

The semi-finals of this international competition have shortlisted 16 candidates out of 47, including the director of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) Giorgi Kldiashvili.
On March 13, 2016 the video footage of Georgian politician's private life was uploaded on social network YouTube. The recorder and the distributor of the video footage is unknown, since the Prosecutor's Office is still investigating the matter.
