Citizens funded by the Ministry of Education and Science in foreign educational institutions

The study is based on the official information received from the Ministry of Education and Science regarding the citizens sent abroad for education in 2011-2014 with financial aid. According to the received documentation, a total of 9 571 207 GEL was allocated as financial aid.

Completion of Action Plan and New Priorities for OGP – Georgia

On October 1st a meeting was held for the purpose of defining the updated priorities for the 2014-2015 within the frameworks of the “Open Government Partnership”, initiated by the Interdepartmental Anti-Corruption Council and organized by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information within the frameworks of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Good Governance in Georgia (G-3) program.

At the conclusion of the Open Government Partnership annual summit in London, UK, thirty-seven members of the international initiative revealed the plans for the further development of transparency, accountability and openness in their respective countries. Public Servants’ Vacations in terms of gender

According to the Labour Code of Georgia, Chapter 5, Article 21, the worker has a right of at least 24 day paid vacation and at least 15 days of unpaid vacation per year. IDFI has studied the data of unpaid vacations of public servants. According to the data from 164 public authorities, 1674 public servants had used their right for unpaid vacation within the period from 1st January, 2012 to 1st April 2013. 100 public servants were from the central and state minister offices of the ministries,

Dismissed public servants in terms of gender

From 1st January, 2013 to 1st April 2013, comprehensive information was received from 166 public authorities about dismissed servants from public authorities of Georgia. According to the received data, a total of 21506 public servants, including 2 969 high ranking officers have been dismissed within this period.(The Institute considers the high statistics of the dismissed employees from public authorities is rested on not reasons mentioned above but on the data of the inter agency rotation or
