On 1st of February, the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia held a meeting with the accredited journalists. The Chairperson reviewed the activities necessary to be carried out for increasing openness of the legislative activities.
On December 30th, 2015, in accordance with the #195/3 Order of the Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, the Permanent Parliamentary Council on Open and Transparent Governance was established.
Open Government Partnership published December Newsletter in which Ukraine's commitment on Regulating Access to Communist-era Archives became the Featured OGP Commitment. The above-mentioned commitment aims at regulating access to the files of the Soviet period secret services and law enforcement agencies.
Objective of the project is to strengthen parliamentary openness and citizen engagement in the legislative activities of the Parliament of Georgia.

On December 18th, 2015, the Parliament of Georgia has adopted the amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Georgia on the third hearing which considers establishment of the Permanent Parliamentary Council on Open and Transparent Governance.
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) has announced that Sanjay Pradhan was selected to lead the Partnership starting mid 2016 and he will also lead the OGP Support Unit.
Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) conducted a competition "Open Parliament - Voice of Youth" within the scopes of the project "Supporting Involvement of the Parliament of Georgia in Open Government Partnership."
Meeting of the Inter-Factional Group of the Parliament of Georgia and Open parliament Working Group took place on December 14, at Rooms Hotel Tbilisi.
On December 14th, 2015, at 18:30, in Rooms Hotel Tbilisi, participants of the competition Open Parliament - Voice of Youth will be awarded. The goal of the above-mentioned competition was to raise awareness among youth on the topics of parliamentary openness.
