One Year of the de facto State of Emergency in Georgia and Human Rights during Pandemic

For over a year Georgia has been trying to deal with a pandemic caused by the spread of the novel coronavirus. The effects of this endeavor have left no domain of social relations untouched. The spread of the pandemic most severely affected basic human rights, as it was their restriction that became the main tool in the fight against the pandemic.

Transparent Public Procurement Rating- Report 2020

The aim of the Transparent Public Procurement Report 2020 is to present the evaluations of Public Procurement Legislations of member countries of TPPR Network, ascertain the main statistical trends, highlight the weakest and strongest performing areas of public procurement, and name the best and the worst performing countries in regards to the transparency and accountabilityof their respective public procurement systems.

The Overview of the Memory Politics of Georgia

In this report, IDFI discussed the memory politics of independent Georgia since 1991, achievements and challenges in the three basic directions – legal dimension, institutional dimension and memorial dimension. Based on the report, it can be argued that there are challenges in the three directions.

Access to Public Information in Georgia 2019

Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) has been monitoring the state of access to public information in Georgia since 2010. The work of IDFI has played an important part in strengthening freedom of information in Georgia, identifying key trends and challenges related to access to public information, developing effective civic oversight mechanisms, and raising the level of accountability and open governance in the public sector.
