On Thursday, September 17, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized the discussion - “The Effects of Depreciation of National Currency on the Georgian Economy”. The discussion was held within the framework of the project “Strategic Plan Georgia 2020 - Strengthening Public Involvement”.
The research showed that the number of male and female civil servants in Georgia, excluding law enforcement agencies, is nearly equal.
On September 14-15, the Meeting of the Open Government Partnership's Legislative Openness Working Group was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, under the title of Committing to Openness: Parliamentary Action Plans, Standards, and Data.
Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia Pacific Regional Meeting was held on 7-8 September, 2015 at ADB (Asian Development Bank) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The regional meeting brought together approximately 50 delegates from the governments, civil societies, international organizations and foundations with the goal of sharing progress on open government reforms and exchanging ideas on expanding OGP initiatives.

From August 31 to September 2 the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) hosted Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in New-York, US. The conference was attended by about 180 parliamentary leaders, including more than 35 Deputy Speakers from nearly 140 countries.
France adopted the National Action Plan (hereafter Action Plan) on parliamentary openness in the framework of „Open Government Partnership” (OGP) program in July 2015 French National Assembly commits itself to strengthen the transparency of the legislative process and increase the involvement of citizens in National Assembly’s work.
Parliament of Georgia should publish its decrees and most importantly, an amendments made to the bill in a timely manner to empower citizens and give them a genuine opportunity to become aware with the executed changes and express their ideas through the appropriate means.
