Kosovo Joins the Transparent Public Procurement Rating

In March 2022, Kosovo joined the Transparent Public Procurement Rating as the 42nd country to be assessed within the framework of IDFI’s international initiative. The assessment was conducted by Lëvizja FOL and independent expert Gresa Smolica.

The City Halls of Akhmeta and Tsageri Municipalities Adopted Building Integrity and Transparency Strategic Documents

On February 25 and 28, 2022 Building Integrity and Transparency strategies and action plans  were adopted, respectively, by the decrees of the mayors of Akhmeta and Tsageri municipalities.

On February 16-21, IDFI conducted an online training on Transparency, Accountability and Integrity issues for the employees of the City Halls of Ambrolauri and Lanchkhuti municipalities and legal entities owned or managed by the City Halls.

Discussion meetings with Gori youth were held within the framework of the project - "A new identity for the city of Gori "

The Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) held  meetings with students and teachers of Gori, within the framework of the project - Overcoming disinformation and nostalgia surrounding Stalin: A new identity for the city of Gori. On February 18,  meeting was held in the exhibition centre of the Photographers' Club of Gori and on February 21, in the Verkhvebi IDP Settlement with the youth living there.

The first stage of work on the mass grave of the Great Terror (1937-1938) in Khelvachauri has been completed

On February 9, 2022, Polish Institute of National Remembrance  (IPN) completed the process of exhumation in Adjara and the mass grave №6 of the victims of the Great Terror of 1937-1938, discovered in Khelvachauri, near Batumi, was fully examined.
