IDFI will hold a discussion "Public Service Reform - Changes and Prospects"
A total of 1 737 employees were dismissed from Ministries and Offices of the State Minister, with the majority of employees (1 225 individuals) dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 2 832 employees were dismissed from 42 subordinate agencies (LEPL-s under various ministries). In 2014, independent agencies (LEPL-s) have dismissed 568 employees.

On November 15th and 22nd at the Tbilisi State University, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information conducted a training course "Open Parliament - Voice of Youth" within the scopes of the project "Supporting Involvement of Parliament of Georgia in the Open Government Partnership". The Project is funded in the framework of European Union and the Parliament of Georgia Program: “Strengthening the System of Parliamentary Democracy in Georgia Project Document” which is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
On November 19th and 20th representatives of Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) held the meetings in Kutaisi and Batumi within the scopes of the project “Open Data: Source of Changes and Innovations”.
On November 18th, 2015, Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan 2015-2016 was discussed at the building of Samtredia Municipality. Member of Georgian Parliament - Giorgi Kakhiani and representatives of Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) - Davit Maisuradze and Davit Uchadze attended the meeting. Participants of the discussion included representatives of Samtredia Municipality, as well as individuals employed at the spheres of education, culture and healthcare, representatives of media and NGOs.
On the 17th of November 2015, the UNESCO General Conference voted in favor of designating 28th of September as International Day for the Universal Access to Information. hopes that the given initiative will support the process of raising public awareness and will serve as a massage on the international arena supporting the need of ensuring access to information to the highest level possible.
Webinar on the topic of "Reviewing 2015, Looking to 2016: Legislative Openness and OGP" was held on November 17th. The event was sponsored by the OGP Support Unit and World Bank Group. The goal of the webinar was to provide an opportunity to discuss the Working Group's work plan for 2016 and hear ideas on what activities should be prioritized.
