On February 18th, 2016 Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized Public-Private Dialogue on Regulation of Water Supply Sector in Georgia. The Dialogue consisted of three panels - Perspectives of Water Supply Sector Development, Tariff Regulations in Water Supply Sector and Legislative Regulations in Water Supply Sector.
It is mentioned in Georgia’s Anti-Corruption Strategy that involvement of local governments in the work of Anti-Corruption Council and supporting anti-corruption activities at the local governments is vital for an effective implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy.
Research demonstrates that OGP member countries that have elaborated action plans for the local self-governments focus on increased citizen engagement, establishment of e-platforms, involvement of adults, senior citizens, persons with disabilities in the work of the local governments, etc.
