On December 3rd at 2:00 PM, the members of the Inter-Factional Group of the Parliament of Georgia: Tamar Kordzaia and Khatuna Gogorishvili along with the representatives of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI): Director - Giorgi Kldiashvili and Project Coordinator - Davit Maisuradze will hold a public discussion on the topics of Open Parliament.
On Friday, November 27, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized a discussion “The Law on Civil Service – Changes and Prospects”. As a response to IDFI’s request, on November 26th, Georgian National Communications Commission denied broadcast to the domestic provider of channel ‘ORT’ and held responsible Ltd “R.B.G.” for the rebroadcast of programs from the Russian public broadcaster.

IDFI is holding a lecture series on Regulation of Capital Market in Georgia
A total of 1 737 employees were dismissed from Ministries and Offices of the State Minister, with the majority of employees (1 225 individuals) dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 2 832 employees were dismissed from 42 subordinate agencies (LEPL-s under various ministries). In 2014, independent agencies (LEPL-s) have dismissed 568 employees.
On November 19th and 20th representatives of Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) held the meetings in Kutaisi and Batumi within the scopes of the project “Open Data: Source of Changes and Innovations”.
On November 15th and 22nd at the Tbilisi State University, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information conducted a training course "Open Parliament - Voice of Youth" within the scopes of the project "Supporting Involvement of Parliament of Georgia in the Open Government Partnership". The Project is funded in the framework of European Union and the Parliament of Georgia Program: “Strengthening the System of Parliamentary Democracy in Georgia Project Document” which is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
