Open Government Partnership published December Newsletter in which Ukraine's commitment on Regulating Access to Communist-era Archives became the Featured OGP Commitment. The above-mentioned commitment aims at regulating access to the files of the Soviet period secret services and law enforcement agencies.
On 15, 18, 22 and 25 December, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized series of lectures “Good Governance in Georgia”, led by Levan Avalishvili – Chairman of the Board of IDFI, at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).

On December 4th 2015, IDFI requested information from the Ministry of Finance regarding gratuitous financial support to Georgia since independence from various states and organizations. According to information provided by the Ministry of Finance, the total sum of grants Georgia received from states and organizations in the years 1995-2015 equals $2 071 470 000 USD.

On December 15-18, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized series of lectures “Informal Economy: Diagnosis and Remedies” at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, headed by Lela Rekhviashvili – Researcher of Central European University (CEU, Budapest).
On December 18th, 2015, the Parliament of Georgia has adopted the amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Georgia on the third hearing which considers establishment of the Permanent Parliamentary Council on Open and Transparent Governance.
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) has announced that Sanjay Pradhan was selected to lead the Partnership starting mid 2016 and he will also lead the OGP Support Unit.
Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) conducted a competition "Open Parliament - Voice of Youth" within the scopes of the project "Supporting Involvement of the Parliament of Georgia in Open Government Partnership."
