Journalists and Activists for Good Governance – The contest of analytical articles is over and winners have been announced.
I Place (300 USD) – Nino Kvintradze – Social Aid VS Elections
II Place (200 USD) – Marika Dadunia – Dubious Tenders Conducted in Bolnisi for Elevator Installations
III Place (150 USD) - Ana Gogoladze – Overview of the Activities and Administrative Expenditures of Pension Agency
The purpose of the contestwas to encourage journalists and social activists to oversee government activities.
“The contestants had the opportunity to study and examine possible wrongdoings and suspicious circumstances in the Georgian public sector, and present their results. We are glad that this topic proved interesting to many, and we were able to encourage them to write analytical articles“- Stated IDFI’s head of Media, Internet and Telecommunications program, Teona Turashvili.
20 individuals participated in the contest. The award-winning articles will be published on IDFI’s website (www.IDFI.ge) as well as disseminated via social media (Facebooks; Twitter) with copyright protection.
The contest was organized by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) with the financial support of the global philanthropic organization, Luminate.
