OGP Georgia Action Plan for 2014-2015: Completed and Unfulfilled Commitments - Media Coverage

The Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) recently examined the completed and unfulfilled commitments under Georgia’s second Open Government Partnership Action Plan.


The action plan included 29 total commitments and 16 state agencies responsible for their implementation.


IDFI examined the action plan indicators and concluded that 9 out of 29 commitments had not been fulfilled by Georgian state agencies.


The story was covered by the television company Kavkasia, which dedicated several news segments briefly overviewing IDFI’s main findings and messages. Of special interest were the conclusion and recommendations presented by IDFI on how to better implement future action plans.


News portal www.gurianews.com reported the story by publishing IDFI’s article in full, while online newspaper www.news.ge paid special attention to the reasons behind the unfulfilled action plan commitments.


Print media also expressed interest in the story. Newspaper Alia published a brief overview of IDFI’s article and reported its main messages.
