Information Session with the Representatives of the Rustavi City Council and City Hall regarding the PPD Quality Tracking Mechanism

IDFI continues raising awareness about the PPD Quality Tracking Mechanism in municipalities. This time, the representatives of IDFI and the USAID Economic Governance Program conducted an info session with the representatives of Rustavi City Council and City Hall.

 

IDFI team members presented the results of the "Assessment of the Quality of Public-Private Dialogue in Drafting Normative Acts-2020-2021". Meanwhile, the representative of the USAID Economic Governance Program spoke about program’s role in strengthening the dialogue between the private and public sectors.

 

The representatives of the City Council spoke about the challenges they face while preparing and discussing normative acts. They mentioned the topics of high interest to Rustavi population, while noting that the lack of coordination between the representative and executive bodies hinders solving society’s problems in a timely manner. In addition, the meeting participants discussed the normative acts that may be assessed in 2022.

 

Members of the Council from the parties "Rustavi - for Georgia", "United National Movement", "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia", as well as representatives of the Rustavi City Hall and staff of the City Council participated in the meeting,
