On July 17-19, 15 trainees participated in a two-day practical training organized by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI). Participants explored and delved into the monitoring mechanisms of government activities.

On June 15, 2020 the Independent Inspector partially granted the administrative complaint of Institute for Development of Freedom of Information regarding abolishing its individual administrative-legal act and obligating the person responsible for releasing public information to provide requested information to IDFI.
On 5 July, 2020 the House Committee on Appropriations of the US Congress published the bill on allocation of finances for 2021 initiated by the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee.
Since the day of its establishment, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) has been working on the issue of the Soviet repressions, has published numerous studies and articles, has carried out various activities and has been cooperating with the internationally well-known universities, research institutes and centers.
As part of the research, IDFI requested public information from about 80 public institutions (Legal Entities of Public Law under the Ministries and other independent authorities) about the number of vehicles owned by them, fuel limit regulations, and fuel consumption expenditures for 2018-2019.
The Open Governance Permanent Parliamentary Council held first remote sitting. The meeting was led by the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Kakha Kuchava, who discussed the current activities and future plans of the Council.
