Spring semester of academic program: Disinformation and Propaganda Studies: History, Theories and Ways of Debunking has started. The educational program is jointly organised by the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) and the University of Georgia (UG).
On February 25 and 28, 2022 Building Integrity and Transparency strategies and action plans were adopted, respectively, by the decrees of the mayors of Akhmeta and Tsageri municipalities.
February 24, 2022, Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) and the State Inspector’s Service, with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Georgia, held a closing event of the project "Promoting Personal Data Protection in Georgia".
On February 16-21, IDFI conducted an online training on Transparency, Accountability and Integrity issues for the employees of the City Halls of Ambrolauri and Lanchkhuti municipalities and legal entities owned or managed by the City Halls.
The Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) held meetings with students and teachers of Gori, within the framework of the project - Overcoming disinformation and nostalgia surrounding Stalin: A new identity for the city of Gori. On February 18, meeting was held in the exhibition centre of the Photographers' Club of Gori and on February 21, in the Verkhvebi IDP Settlement with the youth living there.
In 2021, the Georgian economy surpassed the 2019 level by 3%, despite significant growth in foreign debt and high inflation.
On February 9, 2022, Polish Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) completed the process of exhumation in Adjara and the mass grave №6 of the victims of the Great Terror of 1937-1938, discovered in Khelvachauri, near Batumi, was fully examined.
On February 10, 2022, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Business and Technology University (BTU).
On February 11, 2022, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) held an information meeting with Gori Mayor Vladimer Khinchegashvili on the project "Overcoming Disinformation and Nostalgia around Stalin: A New Identity for the City of Gori".
