On June 21, 2024, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) with the participation of representatives of regional civil society and media organizations held an online workshop on the issues of digital threats and protection of digital rights in the country.
The purpose of the meeting was to identify the main digital threats faced or the needs of representatives of regional civil society and media organizations in the online space in terms of security of their accounts, devices, personal data, as well as freedom of online expression.
At the beginning of the meeting, the IDFI representative briefly reviewed the current situation in the country in terms of digital rights protection, and also shared with the participants information about various reports, analyzes and recommendations prepared by IDFI in terms of digital rights protection in recent years. Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to raise issues relevant to them and express their opinions on the main challenges in the field of digital rights protection.
It is noteworthy that the needs identified at the meeting will be taken into account when finalizing the agenda of online trainings planned for representatives of civil society and media organizations.
