We believe that it is absolutely unacceptable to limit the freedom of assembly and expression. We call on the law-enforcement agencies to ensure security of the rights of the citizens of Georgia publicly express their position, views and opinions freely and without obstacles.
On the assumption of the circumstance that securing the human rights and freedoms is under full responsibility of the current government, we call on the law-enforcement agencies to urgently investigate the fact which occurred near the National Library and according to the law, to arraign the persons noticed in unlawful acts, as well as those officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, who were unable to ensure the proper order at the publicly announced official event.
