IDFI submitted the letter to Mr. Nikoloz Rurua - the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, in which described activities of the Institute and projects carried out by IDFI. The institute sent to the Minister book – “Electronic Transparency in Georgia”- published in the framework of the project "Monitoring of Governmental Agencies' Informational Resources".
The work analyses the level of electronic transparency of web pages of public institutions. The book also deals with the trends of development of e-Government and e-Transparency in Georgia and worldwide. It ranks public agencies in terms of the level of their electronic transparency.
In the response of the Ministry it ismentioned, that IDFI’s recommendations will support the Ministry to better update the Ministry’s web site in right direction and the research conducted by the Institute is very important for promoting of electronic transparency in public sector of Georgia, also for democratic development of the state.
In the framework of the project the IDFI closely monitored the level of electronic transparency of ministries and public agencies and prepared detailed recommendations for each state authority separately for improving the structure of official web-sites and increasing of availability of information.
