Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) announces an opening for the position of the legal expert.

Project title - "Public Information Database- opendata.ge".

Salary: 1275 GEL net a month

Work description - the project lawyer is responsible for:

• Processing received information and provision of the web-resource www.opendata.ge with information;
• Preparing requests for information, as well as administrative complaints and appeals and the subsequent legal proceedings;
• Legal justification of the request for public information;
• Analysis and sorting of received information;
• Participation in the writing of publications and studies;
• Participation in other activities within the frameworks of the project.

Requirements:

** Higher legal education. Master’s degree is desirable;
**A minimum of one year work experience in law;
** Knowledge of the administrative legislation of Georgia;
** Ability and experience of studying legislation;
** Ability and experience of conducting lawmaking studies;
** Excellent knowledge of English language;
** Knowledge of office computer programs on a high level.

** Communication and academic writing skills;
** High sense of responsibility;
** Organized and detail-oriented;
** Experience in teamwork.

Additional information:

Only the candidates that satisfy the requirements as a result of the selection of applications and thus are contacted subsequently will participate in the competition. Priority will be given to the candidates with experience in international projects.
