IDFI held a meeting with students at the second public school of Khoni named after Akaki Tchkhenkeli

On December 1, 2023, at the second public school of Khoni named after Akaki Tchkhenkeli, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) held a presentation of Akaki Tchkhenkeli's memorial album within the framework of cooperation with the Center for Regional Initiatives "Bright Future".

 

Anton Vatcharadze, the head of IDFI's memory and disinformation studies direction, introduced the content of the album to the participants of the meeting, reviewed Akaki Tchkhenkeli's life, work, the events taking place in the international arena during his time and the steps taken by him. 

 

It should be noted that with the involvement of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), the second public school in Khoni was named after Akaki Tchkhenkeli. On May 17, 2018, at the initiative of IDFI, his memorial board was opened at the school. 

 

The memorial album of Akaki Tchkhenkeli was prepared as a result of the joint work of the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the National Library of the Parliament of Georgia. The release of the album was financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida.

 

The event was conducted in a question-and-answer format, and the young participants in the discussion received a memorial album as a gift.
