On January 15th, 11:00 AM, at Courtyard Marriott Hotel, the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) will hold the presentation of summary report of the project Open Data – Source for Changes and Innovations, funded by USAID program Good Governance Initiative (GGI) in Georgia.
IDFI will present the results of the study - Open Data Accessibility in Georgia that is based on the monitoring of 106 public institutions’ data bases, registry and e-resources, conducted by the organization.
Study reviews current situation and challenges regarding the accessibility of open data. More specifically, it presents comparative analysis of the resources, actually owned by public institutions and the practice of publishing information on open data portal by public institutions.
The results of the survey, conducted by IDFI regarding the accessibility of public information will be presented at the event.
IDFI has prepared recommendations for improving open data accessibility that are based on best international practice, revealed flaws and results of survey.
