On November 28, 2017, as part of the Global Legislative Openness Week, the Permanent Parliamentary Council on Open and Transparent Governance held a meeting titled Accessible Parliament for All and presented plans to adapt the Tbilisi building to the needs of the people with disabilities. The plan was developed by the Parliament in cooperation with the non-governmental organization Mariani with the support of EU, UNDP, and IDFI in the framework of the project titled Strengthening the System of Parliamentary Democracy in Georgia.
