Presentation of the project Stalin’s Lists was held at the building of the National Library on October 8. David Usuphashvili, head of Parliament also attended the event. He gave a speech, stating that being aware about recent history is very important for every citizen of Georgia.

Demonstration to honor the memory of victims of 1937-38 Stalin repressions

On December 21, on the birthdate of Joseph Stalin, Institute for Development of Freedom of Information organized symbolic demonstration to honor the memory of victims of 1937-38 Stalin repressions. Demonstration was organized spontaneously and organizers exhibited photos, letters, memoirs and other materials of the victims of repressions on Rustaveli Avenue, in front of the former parliament building. Citizens, who attended the demonstration, read the lists of the represses persons.

Discussion of IDFI and DVV International on “Generation 1989”
