Latest Amendments in the Freedom of Information Legislation of Ukraine

On 27 March 2014, the Parliament of Ukraine finally passed the draft law No 0947 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine in relation to the adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Information" (new version) and the Law of Ukraine "On Access to Public Information, as a whole. The President of Ukraine signed it on 17 April 2014. In terms of enhancing right to information, it appears a landmark law for Ukraine developed and advocated by the Media Law Institute experts with other fellow professionals for almost three years.
