City Court Held MIA and Prosecutors Office Responsible for Paying Damages to Giorgi Kldiashvili

Tbilisi City Court held Ministry of Internal Affairs and Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia equally responsible for compensating moral damages amounting to 2000 Gel and monetary damages amounting to 1180 to Giorgi Kldiashvili.

Georgia in World Governance Indicators

Regardless of existing internal problems as well as potential external threats faced by the country, at the international level Georgia is perceived as one of the fastest developing states. Nonetheless it is crucial that the trend of developing is sustained. IDFI hopes that Georgia will further follow the trend of development which will be reflected in the upcoming Worldwide Governance Indicators.

Director of IDFI, Giorgi Kldiashvili attends Asia Pacific Regional Meeting

Open Government Partnership (OGP) Asia Pacific Regional Meeting was held on 7-8 September, 2015 at ADB (Asian Development Bank) Headquarters in Manila, Philippines. The regional meeting brought together approximately 50 delegates from the governments, civil societies, international organizations and foundations with the goal of sharing progress on open government reforms and exchanging ideas on expanding OGP initiatives.

From August 31 to September 2 the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) hosted Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in New-York, US. The conference was attended by about 180 parliamentary leaders, including more than 35 Deputy Speakers from nearly 140 countries.
