National Security Council of Georgia and IDFI Signed the Memorandum of Understanding

On June 20, National Security Council of Georgia and Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) signed the memorandum of understanding.

 

The memorandum, signed by the Secretary of the Council Irine Imerlishvili and the director of IDFI, Giorgi Kldiashvili, provides unprecedented transparency, increase of accountability, elaborating rule of proactive disclosure of information in compliance with the legislation of Georgia

and adjusting the web-page of the Council in accordance with the existing standards.

 

According to the memorandum, IDFI, on the voluntary basis, will assist the Council in introducing the broader transparency and higher standard of openness, in particular, elaborating the list of information to be proactively disclosed, according to which Council will publicize the information about the remuneration (salary, bonus, supplement) of the deputy secretaries of the Council, structural units of council, as well as information about the administrative expenses connected to the work of the Council. 

 

IDFI will also provide advice on various issues, including transparency of state procurement carried out by the Council and developing the new system of remuneration.
