On January 12, Freedom House released its findings from the latest edition of Freedom in the World, the annual survey of global political rights and civil liberties. According to the survey’s findings, Georgia maintained the positions of 2008 year. On the components of political rights and civil liberty Georgia got 4 points (In accordance with research methodology 1 point implies the best score and 7 implies the worst), which defined the general status of the country as "partly free".
