Development of Strategic Documents on Transparency and Integrity for the Municipalities

The Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) continues to work actively for the development of Integrity and Transparency Strategy and Action Plan for the city halls of different municipalities.

 

On June 16-17, IDFI team held an online meeting with the representatives of USAID / Georgia, GGI Georgia, City Halls of Lagodekhi and Telavi municipalities.

 

During the meeting main findings of the situational analysis report on Transparency and Integrity of the City halls of Lagodekhi and Telavi municipalities were discussed. Participants also discussed the recommendations elaborated by IDFI, addressing the challenges identified during situational analysis.

 

The preparation of situational analysis is the previous stage of the development of Integrity and Transparency Strategy and Action Plan for the city hall of Lagodekhi/Telavi Municipality. These strategic documents are being developed within the project “Develop Integrity and Transparency Strategy and Action Plan for the City-Halls of Telavi and Lagodekhi Municipalities” funded by USAID/GGI.

 

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the resilience of Telavi and Lagodekhi City Halls against the threat of corruption. The Specific objective of the project is to support Telavi and Lagodekhi City Halls in:

 

1) Development of Integrity and Transparency Strategy, Action Plan and monitoring framework; 

 

2) Capacity building of the relevant staff on integrity and transparency to apply anti-corruption measures in practice.
