Policy Discussion on “Open Government Partnership” report of the Implementation of the 2012-2013 Action Plan and Vision for the Future

Decree “About the Necessary Measures for the Implementation of the Action Plan of Georgia for the Open Government Partnership”

The Government of Georgia published an official decree “about the necessary measures for the implementation of the action plan of Georgia for the Open Government Partnership”, in which it took into account the recommendations developed by the Civil Society of Georgia, led by IDFI, regarding the action plan of Georgia, sent to the Prime Minister of Georgia on February 5th, 2012.

Conference on Open Government Partnership Gathered the Representatives of NGOs and Experts from Seven Countries

On April 25th, 2013, the National Security Archive (George Washington University, DC) and the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) organized a two-day conference in the Kopala Hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Recommendations Presented to the Prime Minister

The final draft of the recommendations discussed in the previous blogpost was presented to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, on February 5th. These recommendations for the action plan for Open Government Partnership were developed by eighteen non-governmental organizations, including the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (for the full list of the organizations, see the last page of the recommendations).

Civil Society Forum in Kachreti about “Open Government Partnership (OGP)

On January 11-12, USAID G-3 Program (Good Governance in Georgia) organized the civil society forum (see the list of participants and the agenda) about Georgias participation in Open Government Partnership gathering some 25 representatives of NGO-s and government, as well as independent experts. Meeting with the Prime Minister and the Civil Society Forum

Sandro Rochikashvili On 14 December the Prime Minister of Georgia met the representatives of the Media Advocacy Coalition to discuss the current processes of the country and future plans. The Coalition, which was an active participant in the development of Georgias action plan for Open Government Partnership, includes 12 NGOs (including IDFI).
