Open Government Partnership Georgia – Public Consultations, 2014

OGP published IRM Report Regarding Georgia

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) has officially published the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) reports of implementation of the Action Plan of Georgia of the so called second cohort countries (i.e. countries that joined OGP in April 2012). Among these was the report regarding Georgia, written by an independent expert from Transparency International – Georgia, Lasha Gogidze.

First meeting of the Open Government Georgia Forum

On 15th January 2014 the first meeting of the Open Government Georgia Forum was held at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. It was attended by the representatives of several public institutions and non-governmental organizations. The Forum will meet monthly to plan activities and assess the progress of the implementation of OGP action plan of Georgia.

On December 26, 2013, a round table discussion regarding the Open Government Partnership (OGP) was held in the Sheraton Metekhi Palace Hotel. The discussion was organized by the United States International Development Agency (USAID) within the frameworks of the Good Governance in Georgia (G-3) program.

Public Statement spread by the CSOs across the Globe to the OGP

On 17 December, 2013 a Public Statementsigned by more than 100 organizations across the world, included Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) from Georgia sent to the Co-Chairs of the Open Government Partnership OGP, the OGP Steering Committee and OGP members States.
