Parliament of Georgia has finalized working on the Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan

On July the 10th, 2015, Inter-Factional Group of the Parliament of Georgia adopted the Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan. The main purpose of the Action Plan is to ensure the openness of the Parliament in accordance to the principles of Open Governance Partnership (OGP) and Declaration on Parliamentary Openness, transparency of the information provided by the Parliament and to support the increase of citizen’s engagement in parliamentary activities and in the legislative process.

The Inter-Factional Group approved the Open Parliament Georgia Action Plan

On July 10th action plan of open parliament has been adopted. The plan envisages 18 obligations in terms of Parliamentary openness

Strengthening the role of the society in the process of drafting the Open Parliament Action Plan

Public involvement is key to the openness, it’s one out of the five main priorities set to achieve the parliamentary openness. For this purpose IDFI held a survey between 29th of April to 19th of May. Respondents chose 3 most important recommendations out of 7, which arose as a result of research carried out in regard of Parliamentary Openness.

The Voice of a Customer - Open Government Partnership Reward Competition

Forum discussed the participation of Georgia at the Open Government Reward Competition in 2015. The subject of the competition for the current year is development of state services that are considered as one of the main components of the transparency governed by OGP.
