On January 28th 2012 the Ministry of Justice of Georgia published a draft law of the changes of the organic law of the Labor Code. IDFI replied to the project for changes and posted a commentary about the necessity of regulating the issue of compensating unused leave of absence of fired employees. The commentary was also sent to the secretary of the Minister of Justice, Mr. Alexandre Baramidze, in written form. We welcome the engagement of the civil society in the process of reformation of the labor legislation and we are happy that the suggestions and comments were taken into account while revising the draft law. At the same time, we wish to express out thought regarding the revised draft law regarding the formulation of compensations published on February 27th.
