On March 31, 2022, within the scopes of the Educational Certification Program in Fighting Corruption, awarding ceremony of the winners in the competition on analytical articles regarding – Whistleblowers Against Corruption – was held.
On March 23, 2022 the SpringSemester of the Educational Certification Program began with the Master’s Degree subject: Fighting Corruption – International Actors, Anticorruption Platforms.
Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI) regularly evaluates countries since 2004. The index analyzes and evaluates whether and how developing countries and countries in transition are steering social change toward democracy and a market economy (reports are published once in two years).
In March 2022, Kosovo joined the Transparent Public Procurement Rating as the 42nd country to be assessed within the framework of IDFI’s international initiative. The assessment was conducted by Lëvizja FOL and independent expert Gresa Smolica.

The UNCAC Coalition is a global network of anti-corruption organisations committed to human rights and democracy.
Transparency International published Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2021 results on January 25th. According to the report Georgia was ranked 45th among 180 countries with the score of 55. Georgia has worsened its results in the index compared to the previous years. While Georgia remains a leader in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Region, it has moved four steps backward in international ranking over the past four years. In 2020 Georgia was ranked 45th among 180 countries with the score of 56, in 2019 - 44th with the score of 56, and in 2018 Georgia was on the 41st place with the score 58.
On December 13-17, 2021, the Ninth Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption was held in Egypt. The Conference of the States Parties (COSP) is the main platform of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), which supports the implementation of the Convention and provides guidance on the development and implementation of anticorruption activities.
Three participants of the Educational Certification Program in Fighting Corruption - Nino Taganashvili (Senior Specialist of the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Justice), Mariam Salukvadze (Inspector of Especially Important Cases in the Human Rights Protection and Quality Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia) and Ana Gogoladze (Member of the seventh convocation of the Tbilisi City Assembly), along with other members of the Eurasian Academic Anti-Corruption Network, paid a study visit to Moldova.
Prior to the creation of the Unified Portal of E-Services (MY.GOV.GE) in Georgia, government agencies more or less provided information to citizens and businesses about the services offered by them, in most cases, on-site services were required, often from one agency to another, so it was difficult for citizens to identify the relevant agency and service.
Every state that understands the role of sound election processes and strong political actors in the process of building representative democracy needs to support the principles of political accountability and transparency, the latter being an important indicator of confidence in political systems.
